After her triple, #11 Reese Johnson was walked but on the last ball the ball was dropped, allowing for #2 Emily Herbst to steal home and tie the game up at 2 apiece. Vinton would add again to their lead in the 6th, after #25 Kallea Christy and #3 Raeleigh Schult singled and advanced to 3rd and second, respectively, with #16 Olivia Erdhart grounding out to bring in a runner to make the score 5-2. #4 Brylee Bruce would single after this and bring in another runner to make the score 6-2 heading into the bottom of the 6th. In the bottom of the 6th, #44 Sydney Eggena started off the inning with a bang, a leadoff triple. #2 Emily Herbst would bring her in to lessen the Vikette lead to 6-3.
